This policy explains what personal information Budd Xpress collects from buyers using its cannabis delivery marketplace, why it's collected, and the choices available to you. It covers the buyer- facing storefront and its account, ordering, and delivery features.
Account identity. Buyers sign in to Budd Xpress exclusively through Google - there is no buyer password. When you sign in, we receive and store the email address and display name your Google account provides.
Delivery addresses. Any address you save to your account (street address, unit/apartment, city, state, ZIP code, an optional label like "Home" or "Work", and delivery notes such as a buzzer code) is stored so we can route your order to a store that delivers there. Saved addresses are geocoded (converted to map coordinates) solely to match you with in-range stores.
Date of birth and age verification. New York law requires us to confirm you're 21 or older before you can complete a purchase. We ask for your date of birth once, verify it clears the 21+ minimum, and remember that you were verified so you aren't asked again on a later visit.
Order history. We keep a record of orders you place - items, quantities, prices, the delivery address used, and order status - so you can review past orders and so the fulfilling retailer can complete delivery.
Payment information. Budd Xpress does not collect or store your card number, expiration date, or security code. Checkout is handled by Stripe, our payment processor - your card details go directly to Stripe, never to Budd Xpress's own servers. We keep an encrypted Stripe API key per retailer (so that retailer can accept payment) and a record of the resulting transaction (amount, status, and Stripe's own reference id) - never the underlying card.
Browsing and search activity. While you're signed in, we record your recent search terms and the products you view so your account can show your own recent activity. This history is kept to a limited recent window per buyer and can be cleared on request (see "Your choices" below).
Contact and notification preferences. An optional phone number, and your opt-in choices for order-update and marketing emails/texts, are stored so we can honor them.
The storefront is rendered without a persistent server-side session, so the small set of preferences and functional state below is kept in cookies on your device instead:
None of these cookies are used for third-party advertising, and none are set until you take the corresponding action (confirming your age, picking a look, setting a location, adding to a cart, or signing in).
We log basic usage statistics - such as which pages are requested and how often - for both signed-in and anonymous visitors, in a separate internal analytics store, so we can operate and improve the service. This is aggregate operational telemetry, not a profile built for advertising.
We share what's needed to fulfil your order with the specific New York-licensed retailer whose storefront you ordered from and the store partner actually delivering it, and we share payment details directly with Stripe to process your payment. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We keep account, address, and order records for as long as your account is active, and as needed to meet a retailer's own recordkeeping obligations under New York cannabis law. Recent-activity (search/view) history is limited to a rolling recent window per buyer and is pruned automatically.
Budd Xpress is a cannabis marketplace restricted to adults 21 and older. It is not directed at, and does not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 21.
